Indonesian Embassy in Astana Promotes Indonesian Products at Food Industry-Interfood Exhibition in Astana
KBRI Astana continues to promote Indonesian export products in Kazakhstan among others by participating in the exhibition "the 20th Kazakhstan International Exhibition for Food Industry-Interfood Astana 2018". The exhibition, which is for the first time is being participated by the Embassy of Astana was participated by 80 companies from 11 countries, among others: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, PRC, South Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
The exhibition features a wide range of food and beverage products including fast food products, bakery products and bakery equipment, macaroni products, cooking oil, sauces, confectionery, canned food, beverages and tea, coffee and chocolate, etc.
In this exhibition, Indonesian stands occupy the size of 20m2 and followed by five companies namely PT. Mayora featuring coffee products Torabica and Kopiko candy, PT Sumatera Siberia Kompaniya featuring tea and fruits and rubber products, PT Sari Incofood Corporation featuring coffee from Sumatra, PT. Kalla Kakao Industry featuring chocolate products, and PT Tunas Baru Lampung featuring palm oils products.
In this exhibition, there are many wishes of local businessmen who come to visit Indonesian stand to establish business contacts. Based on the information obtained, there is potential for the initial delivery of 1 container of Indonesian coffee and tea products originating from PT. Sumatera Siberiya Kompaniya to Kazakhstan worth USD 30 thousand.
The Indonesian Embassy at the exhibition facilitated Indonesian businessmen who attended by giving free booth. In addition, the Embassy also provides assistance and facilitates business meetings, market surveys, and market assessment. On that occasion, there is the desire of four importers / distributors from Kazakhstan who will follow up the business meeting and conduct transactions to import potential products from Indonesia.
