The Ambassador of Indonesia Astana, Mr. Rahmat Pramono, accompanied by the head of economic department of the Embassy of Indonesia in Astana,  Mr. Torang Pakpahan, had a fruitful meeting with the Chairman of Tajikistan Railways Company, Mirzoali Komil Jumakhon, who was accompanied by Mr. Usmon H. Kalandarov, Deputy Head of Tajikistan Railways, and Mr. Ismailov Ismoil, Head of the International Relations Department of Tajikistan Railways, in Dushanbe, on March 27, 2018.

At this meeting, the Embassy in Astana explored the opportunities of cooperation between Indonesia Railway Industry LLC (PT. INKA), which was established in 1981, with the Tajikistan Railways Company. The meeting was also attended by representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, Mr. Odinaev Tohir. On this occasion, the Ambassador had a chance to submit a catalog of various types of products produced by PT. INKA and examples of railway carriage products.

Tajikistan Railways Company responded positively with the meeting and plan to visit Indonesia, especially to PT. INKA, to see first hand the coach and locomotive manufacturing factory located in the Madiun city, East Java. The ambassador's visit was also considered appropriate because Tajikistan Railways Company is in the process of collecting supporting materials for the procurement of train and locomotives for its fleet.
