KBRI Astana has promoted Indonesian culinary, handicrafts and cultural performance at "Diplomatic Charity Bazaar 2017" which was held on 3 December 2017 in Astana city. For your information, "Diplomatic Charity Bazaar 2017" is an annual event organized by the Ambassador Spouse Astana, where the sales of various culinary, souvenirs from each participant will be donated entirely to charity.


The "Diplomatic Charity Bazaar 2017" held at Radisson Astana Hotel was attended by over 65 foreign representatives in Kazakhstan, private companies, universities, sponsors and attended by thousands of visitors. Indonesian Embassy in Astana involves the organization Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) KBRI Astana as the main driving force to support the participation in "Diplomatic Charity Bazaar 2017". Indonesian booth, bustled with visitors,  served a variety of typical Indonesian cuisines such as Sate, Pastel, Solo Sosis, Fried Rice and other traditional cakes. Indonesian booth also features various Indonesian souvenirs and handicrafts such as batik purses, batik cloths, book puppets, ethnic Indonesian jewelry, and various other Indonesian handicrafts.




In addition to presenting a variety of culinary and handicraft products Indonesia, Indonesian Embassy also shows the traditional art of Indonesia in the form of Angklung music on the stage of the "Diplomatic Charity Bazaar 2017". Angklung music performances which are considered unique by publics of Kazakhstan was able to amaze visitors who are present and got standing applause from the audience.
