Indonesian Embassy in Astana Promotes Indonesian Culinaries at International Day QSI International School
KBRI Astana has promoted Indonesia's culinary, culture and arts, as well as handicraft products at International Day organized by QSI International School, on May 26, 2017, in Astana. The "International Day" is an annual event organized by QSI International School that was attended by at least 10 foreign representatives in Kazakhstan and attended by hundreds of students from QSI International School.
KBRI Astana involved the organization Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) and Indonesia diaspora in Kazakhstan as the driving force to support its participation in this event. Indonesian booth served wide variety of Indonesian culinary specialties such as mud cakes, rolls dumplings, fish meatballs, bakwan, risoles and various other traditional cakes. In addition, Indonesian stands also showcasing and distributing typical Indonesian crafts, including batik purses, wayang puppets book, batik keychains, pencils with wayang ornaments.
In addition to presenting a variety of culinary and handicraft products Indonesia, KBRI Astana also performed the traditional musical art in the form of Angklung music on stage show International Day. Angklung music performances that are considered unique was able tp amaze visitors who are present and get a lively response.
