Indonesian Embassy in Astana Promotes Indonesia's Culinary, Crafts, and Traditional Music in "Diplomatic Charity Bazaar 2016"

Embassy of Indonesia in Astana has participated in the "Diplomatic Charity Bazaar 2016" on December 4, 2016. "Diplomatic Charity Bazaar 2016" is an annual event organized by the diplomatic community in Astana, Kazakhstan where the sales revenue from variety of culinary, handicraft souvenir will be donated entirely to charity. In this event, Indonesian Embassy has promoted Indonesia's culinary, handicraft and culture. 

"Diplomatic Charity Bazaar 2016",  held at Hotel Radisson Astana, was attended by more than 65 foreign representatives in Kazakhstan, private companies, and sponsors, and  attended by thousands of visitors from Kazakhstan. Embassy of Indonesia in Astana involves  Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of Embassy of Indonesia in Astana and the Indonesian community in Kazakhstan as a major driving force to support its participation in the "Diplomatic Charity Bazaar 2016".

Indonesian stand serves a variety of typical cuisine from Indonesia such as yellow rice, pastel, risol, bakwan, traditional cakes, as well as instant coffee. Indonesia outlets also display a variety of Indonesian handicraft such as batik shirt, batik cloth, bookmarks, puppets, ethnic jewelry, and various other typical Indonesian handicrafts. Indonesian Embassy in Astana also demonstrates Indonesian traditional musical instrument "Angklung" which plays Indonesia traditional song. Angklung musical performances that are considered unique by the public of Kazakhstan was able to amaze visitors and received a standing applause.
